The university’s relevant personnel introduced the content of the University of Oxford and this program in order that we could enter into learning state preferably. And we learned the etiquette of Britain, followed the guide to visit the city of Oxford at the free time. I feel the great difference between Chinese and British culture, as well as the different architectural styles between China and the west through this courses. At the same time, I have some understanding of British customs and etiquette. We held a seminar with students at the University of Oxford. We all feel very curious the person who can study in the world-class university. We conducted heated questions and the exchange. I learned the class at the University of Oxford and learning style is different from domestic. I think elite education mode may has its unique feature indeedly. In London, we visited the British Museum and River Thames. I had a further acknowledgement for the British history and culture.

In terms of curriculum, Sorin Baiasu professor taught about the question of deserve, justice, social distribution and philosophical counselling. On the two classes, professor discussed the issues of Rawls's justice, Descartes' resource allocation with us. He claimed that philosophy as a way of life was different from psychological treatment. Philosophical counselling exerted the function of treat. Professor Hugh Mellor of the University of Cambridge got me thinking when he published his opinion on "killing vs letting die". I discussed with the professor about the issue of "immigration restriction". Although the professor did not give me a clear answer, it also stimulated my independent thinking ability. After class, I came up with my own opinion on this issue. I hope I can have the opportunity to discussion with professor in the future.Dr. Mackenzie Graham taught us about Aristotelian virtue ethics: virtue, practical wisdom and happiness; Dr. Roxana Baiasu gave her opinion on feminism; Dr. Amna Whiston explored the realistic issues, the importance of virtue in today’s world. She came up with the assumption of moral bioenhancement(MB) in medicine.

As my major is not ethics, I did not make any statement on the discussion of some courses. However, after this study, I have further mastered the knowledge related to ethics. The learning mode in class stimulated my problem awareness as well as I learned to think and ask questions, and gradually adapted to this learning rhythm. I hope I can study English and other subjects besides my own major harder in the future, and strive for greater progress in the next exchange study abroad.
